Yes they most certainly do advertise jobs that don't exist in order to bring candidates through the door. It may also be (which I'm sorry is more likely) that you were not suitable for the position and telling you it is filled is easier than telling you they don't think your suitable. They have to do that several times a day as god knows what drongo walks in off the street wanting a job in marketing. That said they most certainly do place people in full time employment. Usually the fee's from this make up most the bussiness income with earnings from tempory workers often being the lesser part of the business. Recruitment consultants work in a high pressure enviroment where feeding you bull5h1t is an accepted part of the job.

This site will show you information on any company that is a Limited Company in the UK. Any decent employment agencies will be a Limited or a Public limitted company.

I used The Shaw Trust, I used them. In the end I found my own job but they still gave me £200.00. They are a charity so you don't pay.

I think the problem with the job centre advisers is they are looking for employer who will take on a disabled employee from the goodness of their hearts, a sort of 'poor little crip, lets give them a chance'. Whereas they should be saying "we have an outstanding candidate, any equipment you need because they just happen to have a disability will be paid for you would be lucky to have them work for you.

best place to ask is probably your local job centre for the best agencies or on the main high street where the german market is now theres a few..

I was a manager and the Job Centre would ring me to confirm and pay for people who would be signing off so just explain to them.
