Employment Agency Contracts

Tanya Said:

I registered with a very large employment agency... They contracted me to work at a certain amount per hour.

We Answered:

Yes, there is always wiggle room w/ temp companies/employment agencies. When I started working @ mine, the job I was hired to do was billed out at a rate lower than what it is being billed out now. Most of the time it is a cost of living thing. Depending on how long you've been w/ the company you have the right to ask for that wage. If you're good at the job and like it, it couldn't hurt to ask for the higher rate.

Sam Said:

Employment agency and breach of contract?

We Answered:

If the employment agency (you employed) has a agency/client confidentiality clause, then the agency is breaching their own contract policy. If they don't, you can consult an attorney to see if your communications (e-mails) with the agency should be construed as confidential in order to have open and truthful conversation with the job counselor assigned to you.

Maxine Said:

Where can I order business contracts to print?

We Answered:

You can actually do 1 of 2 things.

Go to Word on your computer and pull up the templates which are business forms and you can use the template and modify it to your own specifications; or

Go to Staples or Office Max, etc. and use the generic ones available there.

Or, you can create your own on Word and then take it to Kinko's or another printing company and tell them how many copies you want and whether or not you want it in duplicate, triplicate, etc.

Good luck!
