Yes, they can do a hair sample, but that sample can only go back as far as 7 months. They really can't tell if you have used drugs. But, I will tell you this, give them a half-truth. Let's say you smoked marijuana in the past, just say you smoked twice, but experimental only. Alot of agencies prefer that you have "experienced life" then those that have walked a straight line. Never say you have done acid or any of the harder drugs, it go against you big time. The reason for "experienced life", they feel you are less to be swayed by corruption. One last thing, remember what you told them, when they do the polygraph that will be one of the questions. One more thing make sure you are honest with them. Even if you got busted for something stupid at 16, make sure you tell them. If you don't, they find out, they will disquailify you. C-Y-A Brother!
