Home Employment Agency

Billie Said:

Is Working At Home For An Employment Agency Worth It?

We Answered:

Make sure it's not a scam.
If they want a fee up front - run and run away fast.
Scams, especially in Craigslist, are abundant for this type of scheme.

If they require you to pay upfront "fees" to associate with them.. walk.. no RUN in the opposite direction because you are about to get scammed.....

Sandra Said:

Do I need a license to start a home based employment agency? It will just be me and 2 other people.?

We Answered:

Depends on the state you are in. In NY and NJ you have to register with the state & have insurance.
Call your state business & tax dept. and ask. It is usually a few forms and about $200/yr for insurance.
Best of Luck

Starting an Employment Agency from home....?

We Answered:

The best thing you can do is to go down to your local city hall (or call) and ask them. These types of laws tend to vary by state. Be sure to register though. And if you know a lawyer, ask them about setting up your business (i.e LLC v. corporation v. etc.).
