When seeking international employment /work permit can I apply to recruiters rather than individual company?

We Answered:

It is better to apply directly and process your work permit personally.

Dean Said:

Are there good employment agencies that can help an American find a professional-level job in Europe?

We Answered:

I don't know of an agency but I do use a site called expatsinitaly.com This site is great and will help you with all of the legal information. I am looking to move to Italy soon and I couldn't have done it without this site.

Amber Said:

Is there such thing as an International Visa?

We Answered:

There is no such thing as an international visa - every country has its own visa requirements and issues its own visas. If the visa is supposed to allow you to work in Australia, you are being scammed as no employer can get an Australian visa for an employee - not ever.

The employer must be approved as a sponsor by Australian immigration, but the employee must always lodge a separate visa application and provide a great deal of information and documentation. The employee must have medicals; IELTS (English) tests; they must provide police checks on their background; many must have their skills and qualifications assessed and many visa applications are declined. All of this is done by the employee. In short, it is impossible for an employer to 'get a visa' for an employee.
