She knows that she can't afford to do much for you and this is her way of helping you go to school. Take the car and tell her that she help you out so much and you don't know how to every repay her. you just got to tough it out man. i dont know about cali, but here in texas, i started trying to get a job as soon as i turned 14, didnt get one for 2.5 years. most places dont even start hiring until 16. im now 17, have 7 months experience at one of the busiest movie theaters in dallas, and i couldnt even get a job at a smaller movie theater closer to my house. good luck trying though.

Generally speaking, there are little to no repercussions to employers who hire illegal aliens. This is a major part of the problem. If there were stiffer penalties, then employers might reconsider and stop the motive for illegals to come here.
