No, these job are difficult to land. Theres not many out there. I am a Medical Assistant and it took me 2 years to get a job after graduation. Just keep handing out resumes and looking at the Dept of Labor for your area. It will work out!

hmm... very interesting situation. First I ask, if you have looked into disability? That part aside, if you are the type who finds a unique way of doing the same jobs companies want - you have two benefits.

You will eventually find a job that appreciates someone who thinks outside the box, but you have 'to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince.' Or if your ideas make production faster, safer, smoother, quicker or more efficient, consider opening your own business.

As for the writing career, scan the magazine racks for local publications. A lot of magazines will take reader submissions and publish them. A few, (very few) will compensate you for your work. However, the key here, is to get your work published first. Get your name circulating and get people interested in your work. Tell everyone you know what magazine your work is in. Have your friends buy copies, get a couple to write a 'Letter to the Editor' about how helpful or enjoyable your article is. Post links to the magazine on MySpace and Yahoo 360 and anywhere else you can to get people to look at their magazine or website and read your work.

Don't post the article online yourself. The key is to get people to buy their magazine. If you are a good writer and can get people to show significant interest, the company will realize how valuable you can be to their company and this could lead to you being able to land a job writing for them.
