Margie Said:
What is the best way for me to find a job?We Answered:
Determine what you are good at and what you want to do. This will help you determine potential job titles. Determine 10-20 companies you want to work for. Contact all of your friends and attend job groups at churches or Meetup.com in your area and ask people you meet if they know anyone who works at these companies. If so, ask for referrals to these individuals to generate referrals to hiring authorities or for hidden job opportunities. Visit the 10-20 companies websites and set up job alerts. Set up job alerts at the major job boards such as Monster.com and spider engines such as Indeed.com. Once you find suitable positions for different companies, ask your network if they know anyone who work at these companies. If so ask for referrals and ask the referrals to forward your resume and cover letter to the hiring manager. Also register with employment agencies and reach out to recruiters as well. Join LinkedIn and relevant LinkedIn groups and view jobs in these groups as well.
