I've generally had poor experiences with employment agencies. They don't pay much and there are no benefits and you generally don't get treated as well as the full time permanent employees at your assignment. But temp agencies can definitely be good for some folks who can only work certain hours or can only work in certain types of jobs.

A bachelors in psychology does not lead to any kind of a job, even when the economy is booming.

To get any use from a bachelors in psych you have to go back to school to get a masters and then a PhD to find work in that field. Or you take a graduate degree in a different field or you go to law school.
