You should have completed a form P46 when you started and signed this to say this is your only job. You should then be on emergency code which means the first £114 of your weekly pay is tax free. If you have not done this, you need to ask the agency for this form.
You will then need to contact HMRC by phone urgently to see what info they need to put you on a cumulative code so that you get a refund.
