How does a temporary employment agency work?

We Answered:

After u interview with them and do a skills test (typing etc.) they call you when they found a job that fits your skill and work experience level...they range from 1 day jobs to temp to hire jobs...and until your hired permanently with one of your temp jobs u turn in your timecard/timesheet to the temp agency.

Billie Said:

What is the best temporary employment agency to work for in the United States?

We Answered:

I currently work for Manpower and they have sent me on great temporary jobs and I've had the option of working permanent for a couple of the companies that I've had assignments with.
Just tell them your salary expectations and what your interests are and they'll call you based on your preferences in jobs.

Ray Said:

Can a temporary employment agency deny you?

We Answered:

They can hire anyone they choose. Most employers don't want anyone under 18 on premises as they aren't legally adult; temp agency doesn't want you because you aren't legally able to enter into an employment contract with them anyway.

A car dealership is not an employment agency. Again; you HAVE TO SIGN AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT THERE.

You LEGALLY can't. In addition, a dealership can choose to employ under 18. If a temp agency is hiring you, they are sending you into businesses whose requirements are usually that you be OVER 18 to work there.

Easy answer; go work in a dealership not a temp agency.

What is the difference in a private employment agency and a temporary employment agency?

We Answered:

a temporary employment agency contracts with employers to fill jobs, sometimes on a temporary basis or "temp to hire" which means that they will hire if it works out.

a private employment agency places people in full-time jobs; however, if a private employment agency wants to charge you a fee to find a job you are better off going with someone else...they are not often legitimately working to find you a job and will charge you if you get a job based on their "advice"
