You're asking a lot, I think the best you'll get now is cook or care assistant. Jobs go to younger people now, the last care home I worked in was full of 18 and 19 year olds who had no idea what they were doing, but it was cheaper to employ them.

I think those other guys are right, but I have another one: small appliance repair, or computer and cell phone repair. People aren't going to want to buy new ones, but they are addicted to their gadgets, and will think about fixing them.

(Traditionally, shoe repair was a good business to get into during a recession, but I think we've got so many cheap shoes and clothes floating around, we'll be set. Having a consignment shop might be good if you are a good salesperson, though.)

Organic food is good, depending on how many people you have close by. Especially free-range eggs might be a good idea, depending on what kind of predators you have in the neighborhood. Especially if the energy crisis kicks up the price of food transportation.

Writing and acting probably will also be able to pay, depending on how good you are.
