Career In Health Administration

Daisy Said:

Career in health care administration?

We Answered:

A masters is almost a basic requirement. Meaningful experience is hard to come by as management positions are limited and the number of hospitals is slowly shrinking.

The one area wide open for quick advancement is the armed forces - you enter as an officer and while the work is demanding, you rise and rank and responsibility far faster than in civilian hospitals. You come out with a great work record that will help you attain the job you really want. It about the fastest track to the top of medical management.

career in health care administration ?

We Answered:

Seems to me if you try ANY kind of administration in the health care industry, you'll be competing with people who have medical degrees. The only exception I can think of is insurance.

IT is very useful, and so is accounting. These (and law) are the four degrees you can get that you can take with you anywhere you want to live, and all four are in high demand.

Anyone have a career in health care administration?

We Answered:

The medical environment holds a wealth of different careers from the obvious nurse and doctor careers to adminstrative careers. My sister wanted to work in this area, but she wasn't sure perfectly what she wanted to do. She stumbled upon the website in the resource box below, it has lots of guidance, and it guided her to settle what she wanted to do. They have help with other jobs too.
