There are associate's degree programs out there for DMS that do NOT require a prior degree. The program I'm in is accredited, 18 months long, and is an Assoc. of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.)

Are you sure your program is accredited? Maybe look for one near you that won't require you to obtain another degree first. Check here for accredited programs: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited…

I'm pretty sure you can go straight into dental hygiene (after completing your pre-requisite courses) but you'll need to check with your specific school. Be prepared, the job market for DH's is not great right now.

Good luck :)

Jamie Said:

should I continue marching band or take classes at a community college?

We Answered:

I did marching band for three years and I certainly didn't get any. If you don't like it, I'd recommend volunteering at a hospital.
