Melanie Said:
Can anyone help me with this career decision? We Answered:
I applaud your decision to go into either education or health-care. My personal belief would be in the field of health care with children. Have you considered child psychology. Few consider the mental health of children, especially those under the age of 12. (We all know teen-agers have mental issues *grin*).Education is a field where the teacher no longer has the one on one concern for the student as there was when I went to school. Schools are over crowded and it seems as though if a child is not encouraged to learn and ask questions at an early age, their quest for knowledge dies until it's time for college.
No one can choose your career decision except you but, hopefully I've given a couple other options to consider.

CAN SOMEONE EDIT THIS FOR ME!?!?!?We Answered:
Being a nurse is a very noble career in my opinion. While some people may choose a career in nursing just for the income, I chose this career because I love caring for others. I love assisting the patients towards a healthy lifestyle. Not only does nursing make me feel great about myself, but the patients that I attend to will know that they are in good hands.I didn't add the grounded economy thing because it states that you're in it for the money as well as caring for others. What you typed is good in conversation but I don't think it will go as well when it's in writing it in a summary. See, that last sentence was kind of off. :)

Need help with an important career decision!?We Answered:
Have you taken on-line classes before? It takes a special mindset to pursue this format. If you are sure you have a high level of motivation, check out:http://www.phoenix.edu/
Phoenix University Online is one of the best accredited online universities in the country.
Your goals are specific to children but split between teaching them and caring for them. Today, healthcare pays far more than teachers. If you select a teaching position be prepared for three things: 1. Bureaucratic red tape through your whole career
2. Relocating to find a district that pays/offers more
3. Be willing to spend your own money for supplies .
Teachers pay is sporadic at best. It is decided by your community, fluctuating government oversight and, more recently, performance based. Teachers make more the longer they work; you have to work 20 years to reach $54,000 starting from $33,000. You will have to do more specific research on this subject. Your pay depends on where (regionally) you teach, the subject you are teaching, additional certifications you might hold, and what type of facility you are teaching (private, public, government etc;). Most teachers have very good benefits and with summer off (your salary is split into twelve months and you may be required to take required certification classes during the summer).
I suggest medical or social work. You could become an LPN/RN/PA working with newborns or preemies. On the social side you could work in adoption. Special education imay be rewarding. While reading your question, the first thing that popped into my mind was Speech Therapy. www.payscale.com reports speech pathologist earn between $29.00 and $32.00 an hour. To calculate annually just multiply one week’s wages by 52: 29x40 hours is $1,160.00x52 is $60,320.
Finally; most colleges offer a credited class that helps you with these questions; you might find that by limiting yourself you might be ignoring special hidden skills and qualities that are unique to you and may be your greatest asset.
