Glenn Said:

Career move or stay, which should I do to gain valuable career experinence?

We Answered:

It sounds like it will be very similar to what you are doing, not enough to be an issue to move. I say go where the better money is.

Darryl Said:

what kind of careers can you get from these transfer majors?

We Answered:

Administration of Justice, Criminology, and Law Enforcement can lead to you being a cop or going to law school. Prelegal usually isn't an actual major but would also prepare you for law school. Health ed could lead to teaching in high schools. Forestry - you could be a forest ranger or work for an environmental company. Social welfare - you could be a social worker. Geologists are often hired by oil companies, but usually you'd need at least a masters in the field. Astronomy as a major is pretty useless by itself; there are very few jobs you can do in astronomy without a PhD in the field and if you want to get one you're better off majoring in physics.

Emma Said:

Opinions about my education plan. Future plans for BSN.?

We Answered:

These classes can only help you. Not only will you have experience in different areas, you will be employable in those areas. You never know when one of these jobs can lead to something more. At the very least, you may be able to gain reputable references. Another benefit is finding an area that you like. You may love being a home health aid, but hate medical billing.

Also, many colleges have competitive nursing programs and you need lots of experience and education for admission into these programs.

Jeanne Said:

Can you offer me any advice?

We Answered:

Honestly, she chose her destiny and you have the ability to choose yours. If she wanted to put her degree to use, I'm sure she would, especially since her child is in school now. That's what she chose, it has nothing to do with the degree she has. If you want to do Broadcast Journalism, do it. It doesn't mean you'll wind up with a bratty kid living in a one bedroom condo without work like she is. Like I said, that's what she chose, she has the power to change it if she wishes, and you have the power to do what you want to do.

Now, as far as choosing which one, follow your heart but do some research on it. You'll want to pick something that you know you will love for the rest of your life, that's a mistake a lot of people make when going into college, and they wind up hating their jobs until they retire. You need to be happy in what you're doing, for the sake of yourself and your 5 year old. Another thing to consider is: which one of these has a more stable job market and will you have to sacrifice a lot to do this job once you finish school? I can't tell you either of those, you'll have to find that out for yourself. Hope I've helped, good luck.

Health majors in college?

We Answered:

It's not in the areas you mentioned, but you should check out Indiana University's school of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation because they have the programs you mentioned and it is an accredited university.
