I too would like an answer for this. Some people call my conviction a Felony but i know for a fact it is a 3rd Degree Misdemeanor for which I was referred to State Probation so some people think its a Felony because i had a Probation officer, but thats not true. My specialty is Computers and IT, and i will be going back to college and working for anyone that will take me. It is tough out there. I was convicted of Possession of a Weapon, but i have Municipal Court Paperwork that shows the 'Weapon' was 1 Count of a BB Gun.

Charge: 2C:39-5 Possession of a Weapon (BB Gun grouped same as real ones) - Crime of 3rd Degree
Date: May 2, 2006
Sentenced: Oct. 2007, Probation (Completed)
----SIMPLE POSSESSION BBGUN PLAIN VIEW IN CAR DOCUMENT SAYING MUNICIPAL COURT AND BB GUN
I cannot wait the 5 or 10 years (its longer when you dont pay the money) to get this expunged i will be in my 30s when this happens, -possibly- 40s and i want the most from my life. I too would like to know how to present my conviction to companies, as it has happened to me once.. Failure to Disclose OR Falsification of an Application means you're gone without anything can be done, and they wont let you explain it and dont care the economy sucks.

The big nursing agencies like Utopia will hire you as a home health aide until you get your license. You go to people's homes and take care of them there and are supervised by an RN. I would imagine the hospitals would also hire you to do home health aide work

As with an trade, please forgo those private $$ for-profit (and online) schools and instead consider the more affordable (and usually more regulated) **county vo-tech school or community college** as long as the program is accredited within the industry.
