I will tell you however that there is high turnover in x-ray in hospitals cause the work is phyiscal and it is shift work so can always find a job.

Also if you get additional Certifications in MRI,CT,Nuc med you will be more marketable.

Personally i would get a Nuc Med and Ct certifactions so you could do PET/Ct a lot growth in that field.

But yeah as a basic X-ray technologist in some areas of the country you will have a hard time. I live in area with 5 x-ray technologist schools graduating a 100 students a year. So in my area it is tough to get a job!!

But if you move to area that has less graduate students then you will be able to find job!!

All of the healthcare fields have a fair amount of turnover so dont be to alarmed

Really anything health care related. I have friends getting their associates in radiology.
Some are in health care administration and others are doing health information technology.

Medical coding in particular is suffering from a severe shortage in some areas of the country, and they are as critical to the healthcare system as nurses.
