What are some good health care careers that have a short certification program? We Answered:
You could try going to be a pharmacy tech. thats about a 2yr program at community and technical colleges. However those programs are usually selective, and you would have to have gen. eds. Also you could go to be a CNA (certified nurses assistant), in some places that could be just a 4 week program, and there is no gen. eds. required at most schools. As for being a phlebotomist, yes they do make decent money... However it is often hard to find a job because a lot of places will have the nurses to do that, that way they don't have to pay extra people. You could also goto be a LPN, that can be any where from 11months to 3semesters long, and those programs are often selective to, usually most of those programs incorporate the gen. eds. into the program. I am currently going to be a LPN. I have also already had the CNA class. Good Luck.
