Health Education Career

Daisy Said:

Returning to school deciding Elem. Education or Health Sciences Major?

We Answered:

Well, without question education is the recession proof career. However, pay is pretty poor. Would that be a deterrent to you?

As far as careers with a Health Sciences BS, I don't know off hand, but google will get you some answers, and you might want to drop in to the career services office at your local community college or state university - they can probably give you good information.

Nursing is a good profession, pay is good, and there is always demand. Again - check with career services locally to get more info and specifics. Talking with someone who knows is always better than trying to dig up the information on your own.

Here is some quick info I pulled up:

What kind of career would suit me? Health freak! (:?

We Answered:

Nutritionist(more the food side of things), dietitian(more of the food, diet, health and science/ medical side of things,) physical therapist, personal fitness trainer, a coach in your favourite sport, a nurse with a post graduates degree in community health/childrens health/ or you could be a prenatal nurse where you help pregnant woman through their pregnancy(their diet, helping quitting smoking, gestational diabetes, but also talking about their birth plans etc), or you could even ba e nurse and specialise in eating disorders and helping them gain weight and have a healthier relationship with food! There are also degrees you can do where you can find employment with the government, promoting healthy lifstyles(this is more the hr side of things). Lol, theres heaps of stuff
