Health Education Jobs

Marc Said:

I'm Still waiting for McCain/Failin to discuss the economy, jobs, education, health care etc...will they ever?

We Answered:

Here is my take of McCain's positions on the issues you mentioned:

Economy: Everyone should be rich. No redistribution of wealth. Biggest problem: it ain't gonna happen.

Jobs: Wants to use community colleges to provide training for those who have lost their jobs.
Problem: If you don't have a job, how do you pay for community college?

Education: Vouchers, and get rid of bad teachers.
Problem: Do vouchers really motivate a school board to improve their system?

Health care: Give a tax credit for Americans to purchase their own health insurance policy from a private company.
Problem: Insurance costs are astronomical, so the tax credit does not cover a substantial percentage of the actual premium.

His most compelling campaign issues are national security and being pro-life, and pro-family.

My opinion: McCain is offering band-aid solutions, instead of dealing with the root cause of the problems.

Annie Said:

We Answered:

Amber Said:

Are there jobs for just a BA in health education?

We Answered:

Yes

Debbie Said:

how can trade, jobs, health, education, population, wealth and quality of life be used to measure development?

We Answered:

Well, with health you can measure life expectancy, death rates, infant mortality rates etc, which all show how developed a country is.
With education, you can measure things like literacy rates, and the higher the percentage, the more developed the country.
With wealth, generally, the wealthier the country, the more developed, as they can buy new resources and technology - this is usually measured by GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
The better a persons quality of life, the more developed they are, as development is often about improving quality of life.
Trade, I am not entirely sure, and with jobs, I am guessing they are referring to employment rates - the higher the percentage, the more developed the country.

I hope I have understood the question right!

Ian Said:

Dem debates: Iraq, Health Care, Education, Jobs Overseas, Immigration, more. Why not GOP debates?

We Answered:

Well spotted, the Republican and Democrat debates appear to only have questions that suit their core voters, In the republican debate there was little or no mention of education, Health care or American jobs, key issues that the public are concerned about. We have to assume that the non-republican public would not like what the Republican candidates propose to do in these key Areas.

Kay Said:

Part time, no higher education, health jobs?

We Answered:

The relatively short training programs include phlebotomy tech, ECG tech, monitor tech, ER tech (that is a EMT-B), CNA, MA, pharm tech, surgical tech, sterile tech, and such like that. The ability to actually get jobs in these positions can be iffy at times as all are low entry positions. You can probably nose around the hospital & find a few more. A very good way to see what is available in a hospital is to start by volunteering.
