Health Science Jobs

Esther Said:

What jobs can a degree in health science get you?

We Answered:

A health science school has many specialties. You can get a B.S. in any of these. Medical technology will get you a job in a hospital laboratory. There's a perfusionist specialty where you'll do kidney dialysis and plasma exchanges and assist the anesthesiologist in OR (pays very well). You can be an X-ray tech or specialize in mammography (pays well). Some may offer a pharmacy tech degree (pays well). And as long as the health care bill doesn't pass, health care is bullet proof economically.

Joseph Said:

What kind of Jobs would i qualify for with a bachelor degree in Health science?

We Answered:

Good question Starr. Well to start of this sounds like it would fall under the Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologists fields. Anyone with a BA in health science can have careers as a dietitian, nutritionist, occupational therapist, orthotists, prosthetists, physician assistants, nursing, medical assistant, hospital clerk, medical record keeper, etc.. etc. You get the idea. Thats excluding your associates in Nuclear Medicine (But it definitely helps when trying to go for your desired career field). I know that trying to land a career as a nuclear medicine technologists is like trying to find a needle in a haystack though. Keep trying! I hope this helped you out a little!
