Health Sector Jobs

Andrew Said:

When are health sector jobs advertised in the decent papers?

We Answered:

The trouble with most health sector jobs is that they are always advertised internally first. Only after two weeks are they then put out to general advert and it is a purely local decision as to which publication they are advertised in. Most NHS jobs would be edvertised in health related publications rather than general newspapers, but the best source is the local web sites for your nearby hospital trusts or PCTs. The adverts go on there right away, and it specifies when only internal applicants can apply or when it is open to anyone.

Another good source is the general NHS jobs site where you specify the kind of position you are looking for and it does a general search of all NHS sites.

Karen Said:

Democrats say the health care bill will create jobs. How will it do that?

We Answered:

It will create jobs in the land of rainbows and shunshine, where all is right with the world and there is no greed, hunger, war, or violence, where there is no need to protect yourself, because no one wants to do you harm. The land where no one is homeless and everyone has a job.

Sadly this land is nonexistent, and is pure fantasy. The truth of the matter is this bill obliterates millions of jobs, and will be devastating to our nation financially.

Gilbert Said:

What other jobs are available in the health sector?

We Answered:

Healthcare is an entire industry domain in itself and you could specialize in any area of your interest such as legal, customer care, clinical services, business analysts etc.

What jobs can people get involving health and safety?

We Answered:

Every job has to have H & S aware staff but if you want a career in this, you will need (minimally) the IOSH or NEBOSH certificates.
Positions are usually advertised as Safety Officers etc. so if you googled it, would give you more insight.

Harry Said:

Does 0bama think he can create jobs by destroying a viable sector of our economy, namely health insurance?

We Answered:

He's demonstrated that jobs are not his priority. Taking over health care is his priority. Look at how much effort he's put into each.

He doesn't care about jobs. He doesn't care about us. He cares about his legacy, power and control.

What is the situation with Job in Health Sector in Maldives?

We Answered:

Hi Pankaj M

I live & work in Maldives, and I too have heard similar stories. There are certainly rude people in every walk of life, and like in any country & any profession, if you ask enough people you will get lots of different answers. The people with complaints are the ones that usually shout the loudest, whilst most others are just content to work hard and get on with the job.

And from the Maldivian point of view, the health system is not very well developed here, from the poor appointment systems & overcrowded waiting rooms, to reports of unskilled doctors and malpractice. So it is no wonder that at times some tempers can get frayed, especially when the health of your own child is at stake. I even wonder myself why a doctor should subscribe me 4 different medicines for a simple ear infection, with the assumption that I will buy these items from his own pharmacy ...

As a final note, I will add that there are many Indian & Sri Lankan doctors (and teachers) that have been in Maldives for years, even a decade or more, so I would guess that these people are more than happy to live & work here.

Hope that helps, and best of luck in any future decisions you make.

Norma Said:

what other high paying jobs are there in the health sector if i dont get into medical school?

We Answered:

I did massive research for my son -- the same concern.
Do this research.
Mt.Hood CC in Gresham, Oregon. Surgical / RN nurse. THEN
Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR -- PA , physicians assistant.
Find similar programs in your area.
In a year you will have a LPN degree and making some money.
You can also do an x-ray tech program in two years in lieu of the RN route.
In about five years -- you will have a masters degree, can write prescriptions and make over 100k a year

Discuss It!
