Ann Said:

Which degree should I get?

We Answered:

I'm not sure that a Real Estate degree (if they are offered anywhere) would help in becoming a real estate agent.
With the trouble in the housing market, they would probably hire anyone who knows how to sweet talk someone into spending several hundred thousand dollars on a house.
I suggest getting a degree that would help you with a backup career, just in case real estate didn't work out.

Stay at home mom needs to go back to school, but very busy with everyone else, pls help?

We Answered:

I would say going to school shouldn't be your priority right now. You need to find a job. Your husband can stay home with the kids and go to school from 4-9. You need to find a job that starts and ends earlier in the day. Or a night job. This doesn't have to be permanent. When you husband is done with school, you can start school. But right now, someone needs to be working.

What should I take first CNA, EKG or Phlebotomy Classes?

We Answered:

i know one thing for sure your purpose of continuing your education is to earn more money and have security in what you are doing. There is no choice but go where your passion is. CNA is hardwork, EKG or Phlebotomy is easy work for much more money than CNA... But look at the work prospects, theres more job security being a CNA because you will never run out of patients, you get double shifts and night differential but with EKG or Phlebotomy you get fixed income and there is less work opportunity. Do the economics first and decide from that, you could take the CNA and get more opportunities in a SNF , Sub Acute or Hospice, network your self to various facilities and then take EKG or Phlebotomy.

What does a "hand on career" mean?

We Answered:

It means any career where you are actually in the field, doing the actual work or delivering the service i.e dealing with customers/clients face to face etc. rather than a 'behind the scenes' position like a manager or coordinator or something. I guess a home health aide would be hands on as you are actually working with the person who is buying the service.
