A job in the health care and social science fields? We Answered:
Hey, you sound like a great person in the making.Yes and yes! I can tell you that if you become a doctor or even a nurse or medical specific field ... you will go far in whatever you want and doors will open for you.
Good luck, though it's hard work and a great person with a mind that will do what you do.

Does anybody know of ways to get into an international career? We Answered:
Try the Peace Corp to get some experience and cred (though you won't make money). With your degree, you'll be a shoo-in!ADDED: Is there not a Canadian equivalent to the Peace Corp? I know Japan has one (a friend of mine's Japanese wife just divorced him to go run off and join it), so I would have assumed that the Western democracies all have them.
Another idea - have you thought about NGOs (non-governmental organizations)? Oxfam comes to mind. And, you might also look at the United Nations - they do lots of work in health areas.
One last thought - look at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They're all about health issues in the developing world.
Good luck!
