Shortest answer, No. Hospitals, most of all, do not recognize marijuana use for any reason. If you test dirty you will be terminated. No questions asked. If you are a prospective employee, you will not be hired.

Certain fields require employees to be at the top of their game. In the zone, so to speak. And they view any kind of marijuana use, recreational or otherwise, to be a hindrance on performance. It makes no difference if you claim that the use was solely while you were away from work and did not involve any patient care. If you test dirty, you're done.

That being said, I have worked in a hospital for many years and I use marijuana as a medical patient. I have only been drug tested once. If you take your responsibilities seriously and don't give anyone reason to suspect you are using drugs, you will not be bothered. Stay clean until the test is over.
