I recently worked with Kaiser until the beginning of Feb. Go in there being assertive. They usually have questions relating to Customer Service. They want to see that you are able to provide the worlds finest service to their members, since the members are technically paying your salary. My interview lasted about 1/2 hr. Make sure you go in in a relaxed state of mind. They might ask a questiont that does not make ANY sense at all but dont forget, you can always ask them to clarify the ? Hope this helps

Every Excel, Word, etc. exam I've ever taken tests your knowledge of how to complete a task, and it gets harder as the tests goes on. Most of the time they will stop after you get so many answers wrong. I wouldn't know where you can go to study for it, since each company's test is a little different.

We Answered:

Doesn't quite work like that in medicine. Get job, get pay check. However, Kaiser pays well, but the real pay off comes when you retire (with a salary) and the benefits (holidays, profit sharing, etc). You will work extremely hard for Kaiser, believe me. It also depends on your duties, and most physicians have a "buy in" factor. You need to work for 5 years before things kick in--kinda like tenure. My advice is to worry about this later in med school, once you start clerkships and are in the thick of things, so to speak.

Kaiser posts jobs at the personnel department of each hospital but also has a regional center for all their clinics etc. Call up one of the hospital personnel centers (or even one of the clinics) and ask them for the #.

Kaiser Permanente is a good employer.

-They will be looking at his ability to work in across a complex organization with a variety of professionals, both medical and managerial. So, social skills and communication skills will be very important.

-They will be looking at his range of experience and how well it has prepared him for this specific position.

-They will be looking for integrity and honesty; this is a very principled organization!

-They will be looking for someone who can see the "big picture" not just the numbers on a computer screen.

-Kaiser tends to promote from within a lot, so they will be assessing upward mobility potential.
