Deanna Said:

Best career for me?

We Answered:

If you are trained and qualified for all of these jobs, congratulations. You shouldn't have to change locations, unless you want to. Almost everyone starts with one career, and changes to something else in their lifetime, so go with what pleases you the most now, and keep studying or volunteering in other fields so you stay current.

Dont know what to do with life?

We Answered:

Pharmacy is a good choice, I think. Keep in mind that you don't need a BA in business to later get an MBA (masters of business administration). You can major in anything you like (including Pharmacy) and get the MBA afterward. I know a guy with a degree in physics who is now getting an MBA.

Changing careers, looking for general opinions and ideas based on information given.?

We Answered:

i think you are funny AND I think it's good that you know what you want.

i think you would be good working in clinical research like at a CRO. possibly project management or if you have other education/skills possibly in HR, Finance or IT/programming at a CRO (Contract Research Organization).

Basically you would have your own office, a normal day time job in an office, where if you needed a day off you didn't need to call around for someone to 'cover for you' (that is so annoying I agree). Office cleaners will come in nightly. The pay is decent. You can run an errand as you need to. And some even let you work from home if you want!! deadlines are involved, but I cant think of a normal job that didn't require you to finish work by a specific time...

I'm a senior in high school and I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with the rest of my life...

We Answered:

No worries, huni. It's perfectly normal to go off to college not knowing what you want to "be when you grow up."

If you want my advice.. since they are mostly healthcare related fields... call up your local hospital and tell them that you are a high school senior exploring health care fields. Ask them if you can "shadow" some employees for a few hours so you can get the feel of the work. If they say no, ask if you can leave your number for a (insert job here) worker to speak to about their duties, and what the job is like.

Failing that, you can always volunteer at your local hospital, and get a feel for it that way. But either way, TONS of college freshmen have NO idea what they are going to do when they graduate.. or even what they are going to major in.

How do I tell my parents what my real career dreams are?

We Answered:

alright... so u know what! ur parents r just worried about money which is smart i guess...but at hte same time, its sad that they r trying to lead ur life for u. this is ur choice in in the next year or so of college u will start to realize that!

i think that a teacher is an incredible career... and than a film/theatre minor is even better... im going to be a junior at college and i know that im upset i didnt pursue teatre like i wanter... im starting to look into it as a possible minor...plus my major is elementary education..so i get where ur coming from!

this is ur life to lead though and u need to stand up to them and decide for urself what u want to be and do for the next 50/60 years...and if u cant picture urself doing phamacy work for that long than go with something u will really love! good luck
