Yes as long as you are certified with AAMA you can work anywhere in the country since American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is a national agency.

What to do with Medical Assistant certification?

We Answered:

The problem with most MA's is that they just apply for MA positions.

As MA's, we were taught a variety of tasks that will help you to get your foot in the door!

You can do Phlebotomy, become a phlebotomist until the door opens for you to transfer into a solid MA job.

What about doing EKG's --they taught us as MA's how to do that. Be a EKG tech until you are ready to make that change.

Come on, don't forget all those wonderful skills they taught us.

Good Luck!!!!!

how do i get my medical assistant certification back?

We Answered:

each state is different but usually if it has been expired for less than 2 years you just have to take the continuing education courses that you have to take any way.If it has been expired longer they may make you take the course all over again
