Avarage salary for Medical Office Assistant ?We Answered:
The BLS website is the best for wages. It avg's around 14/hr. Which is normal for a 2 year degree. I am doing a medical office assistant program and then completing the medical office management program. Medical Office Managers make about 50,000 a year and it's only 1 more year of school, as it's a 3 year program and the 1st 2 years are covered by the classes you already took. So if you go to school for 1 more year, you will have add about 10 dollars an hour to your wage.Jon Said:
I want to know the starting salary for a medical assistant with an associate degree? We Answered:
What type of medical assistant? Surgical assistant, nursing home assistant, anesthesia assistant, etc... Start with answering that question then go to the sourced website below and they do a pretty good job of getting you in the right range. Medical Assistants in general usually earn between 22k and 35k a year. After you get your foot in the door a lot of hospitials offer to pay for your education if you wanted to go on to be a nurse. They usually require you to sign a contract for 5 years to make sure they reap the benefits of their investment. Good Luck in your endeavors :-)Walter Said:

Certified Medical Assistant Salary Question. . .?We Answered:
I am about to do a CNA program for far less than what your paying, those 'career' schools are a rip off but anyway, yes that is about the salary range for a CMA. I reccommend using CNA, CMA's for a stepping stone to more advanced areas of nursing or healthcare. But if you want to stay in it as a career by all means do that don't expect to make 17-30 an hour just because of longevity. As I said they are stepping stones and the profession is more for stability in the field not "x" amount of money. But stability is more important than anything especially in this economy those are the people that will continue to be employed despite a recession and regardless if they are making 8 bucks an hour or 14.
