technicial schools for medical assisting?

We Answered:

Yes, it could be a waste, depending on what the job market is for MAs where you live (in some areas there are far more MAs than jobs). Is that a private school as well? They are far too expensive--you will never be able to pay it back on the salary of a MA (9-12$/hr on the average). If it is a community college or trade school, it could be more worth your investment. You should investigate the job market a bit more before you commit. Even tho' they offer placement they DO NOT guarantee it.

questions about medical assisting schools?

We Answered:

If you really want to be a Medical Assistant, go to a community college! Stay away from over-priced career schools where your credits won't transfer to a real college or university and you're stuck with student loan bigger than what you'd make working full time for 2 years as a medical assistant!

What is a good medical assisting school in Houston tx or online?

We Answered:

Everything online is not quality. If you are dealing with patients, I would not suggest going online for medical assisting. I am interested into finding out why you are changing your major to become an MA. There is a school in Houston, I believe it's close to Katy, TX called Texas Health School or something along those lines. I know they're program is pretty quick but I'm unsure about the expenses. Look in your Yellowpages for nursing schools or allied schools.

Medical Assisting?

We Answered:

I' m not from Michigan but I went to Medical School and I love every day of my field. You need to gone and go back for medical assisting because the more education you have and experience the more you can get paid. I have been doing it for a year and half and I make $22 an hour. Yes i was prepared. Try to find a school with hands on teaching. That helps alot so you can better understand what you are doing.
