Does anyone care about what is happening to nurses in the NHS?We Answered:
Ah, a subject I feel strongly about.I spent a long time in hospital as a child, you name it,I had it.I can still remember the nurses names(not the doctors) that got me through it.They were 'Angels' and I've always believed that given the dedication, sacrifice and heartache that nurses go through, they've always been ripped off.I'd treble nurses pay......why is the work a nurse does any less valuable to society than a policeman or a firefighter? So the answer is 'YES I CARE', and a lot of other people should unzip their British reserve and say so.Good luck and you've my 100% support.Holly Said:
if you work in an nhs hospital as a health support worker can you transfer to work in a different hospital.?We Answered:
You can't apply for a "transfer" (unless it is within the same Trust), but you can apply for the job like any other jobs. They normally don't reply until the closing date. Some may not reply at all if you are not selected for interview (usually they will say this in the advert).

can someone help me out with my personal statement for job?We Answered:
Are you applying online? I used http://www.jobs.nhs.uk/ If you're interested they have loads of vacacies on there. Anyway, keep your personal statement a paragraph long. Maybe about 50 to a 150 words would be enough. Have you written out a personal statement on your CV? If so, you can copy and paste that into the form. Have a look at this for advice: http://content.monster.co.uk/14187_en-GB…Pamela Said:

Go back to the Union Rep and insist that he takes some action .. if he refuses, report him to the Union Branch (better, turn up at a Branch meeting and complain in a VERY LOUD voice :-) )Violet Said:
What shall i do? I made a small mistake on my job application form?We Answered:
It's too late to do anything now.But in the future, your 'objective' is not a good one. Hiring companies aren't looking to help you gain more experience. That's a benefit to you. You want to include something in your objective that provides a benefit to THEM if they should hire you. What can you bring to the position, or why should they be eager to hire you?

British Army ambulance driver; what's the job really like?We Answered:
hi i was an ambulance driver on telic.to be honest army ambulance driver and nhs driver is so different.
you will have to join the rlc as these are the only ones who get attached the the medics as ambi drivers. there is other cap badges that join the medics and rlc as drivers.
to be a ambulance driver you will have no first aid training bar the stuff everyone else does for the matts training. you can go and do a team medics course if you feel the urge. you are a glorified taxi driver.
one of my jobs was to drive for the field hospital to the HLS and move casualties to the hospital on stretchers.
if the camp got mortared and there was casualties go the them and bring them back to the hospital.
move injured personnel from hospital to the aeromed transport back to the uk.
as a ambulance driver you will drive different BFA's
samson armoured vehicle.
saxon wheeled slightly armed.
land rover wolf variant
mastiff.
i was driving land rover type in iraq out in the maysaan provence out in the desert. while i was out there i did some lessons with the medics in case the poo hit the fan. i learnt about daily checks, how to use the heart start kit and suction kit. but you will never be allowed to use it in an emergency.
you can get your ambulance driver qual 2 ways.
short or long
short: get famed up on it with a quick drive
long: go to dst leconfield and do the course or do the course in house.
hope this help.
also being attached to the medics on tour is quite but that is good as when you are busy it means the poo has hit the fans.
but back on camp it's just like being any driver.
