My life sucks, and I am so sick of it and want to change it, am I powerless to do that?We Answered:
Stop whining and do something about it. If you need more education get it. If you need another place to live then move. You need insurance, buy it. Just stop moaning and waiting for the world to take care of it for you.Raymond Said:
Hi, here is my essay...can you tell me what you think about the closing sentence? We Answered:
You did an amazing job. Please know that if for some reason you don't get the grant, it isn't because you didn't write an outstanding essay. It is beautifully written and has a great msesage- your parents should be very grateful to have you :)Naomi Said:
Hi, I'm writing an essay...any comments/suggestions/feedback?We Answered:
Yeah, it's really well written and i enjoyed reading it. I liked that you only briefly stated your medical problems and why you'd like to help your parents. Focusing on that are too much may give off the impression you're looking for pity (which i'm assuming you're not). I also liked that you included what your goals are and why you'd like to pursue them."It is a dream of mine to help those in poverty and those less fortunate than me" - This sentence doesn't really flow well, it sort of pops out of nowhere.
The quote - very good, fits well with the essay and it is said by someone who is admired.
One more thing - "When I was born I was pre-mature. I was born at only 28 weeks and weighed about 2 pounds."
I would phrase it more like this "I was born a pre-mature baby, at 28 weeks, weighing in at about 2 pounds"

Hi, I'm writing an essay...any comments/suggestions/feedback?We Answered:
My academic goals for college are not only to get good grades, but to learn and gain experiences that will prepare me for the future and all that it holds. It is something I will have to work and study hard to achieve, but I will succeed with enough determination and persistence. By becoming involved on campus, I hope to make a difference in the things that I do. I hope to pursue a career as a pharmacist in the future. I plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for two years, and then I would like to transfer over to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for another four years. I want to help as many people as possible, both as a pharmacist and as a person. When I was born I was pre-mature. I was only 28 weeks, and I weighed about 2 pounds. When I was 10, I was diagnose with Childhood Nephrotic Syndrome, and recently this year, I was admitted in Moses Cone Behavioral Health due to Brief Psychotic Disorder. All throughout my life, I have had health issues and have caused my parents great concern and worry. I want to do something for my parents so that they feel less burdened. They have had to carry a heavy load raising me, and I want do something to return the favor, to show them how much I appreicate all that they have done to ensure that I have the best care possible. This is why I am applying to the foundation for an educational grant.
Hey!!! this is a really good essay. I copied and pasted it here just to add a few things and fix a couple grammar/spelling errors. Other than that, its really amazing! sounds good to me! good luck!

CNAs, do you like your job - would you recommend going into this career? We Answered:
I'm a CNA in North Carolina! The average starting pay is about $9hr. Some CNAs can make $13/hr with a experience, working evenings/nights/weekends, and working with difficult/total care patients. I work at a nursing home with fairly easy patients and make about $9/hr.Do I recommend it? Yes and No. I recommend it as a starting point. Something to do for a few years to gain experience before you move into something else in health care. There is good job security! It is a nasty job though. I believe all nurses should work as CNAs before being allowed to work as nurses.
All you can do is try. The CNA course I took was less than $200 and took 12 weeks. I'm glad I did it. But I want to move into something else if at all possible.
