Nursing is a superb job, I have met many wonderful nurses in my life, both male and female. My daughter uncovered some superb tips and tricks about it on the site in the box below, and now she is in her first year of training.Glenda Said:

Registered Nurse?We Answered:
It's very hard to become an RN in less than 3 years, but I guess it can be done. Most programs require you to have a lot of prerequisites such as chemistry, statistics, anatomyand physiology, and sometimes an ethics class or even precalculus. If you want to do it you had better get used to needles because you will have to learn venipuncture, how to start an IV, and many other procedures. There are 2 year programs out there. You will be an RN when you get out of them but you will only have an associate's, not a bachelor's. With most 2 year programs, in my experience, by the time you get all their prerequisites done, you end up spending 3 years... might as well go the distance and get a real degree with the prestige and pay that goes along with it.
I'm in my third year of a BSN (4 year program)and love it!
