We Answered:

Better answer:

get a tutor at a local high school, they can direct you to people THERE who will work with you to get that GED.
Driving ED...you can do that yet too, you're just 16, and your whole life is ahead of you, don't let the Turkeys keep an eagle like yourself down!!

Poor states in USA?

We Answered:

There have been multiple studies...the richest area of the US is the DC -> Boston corridor.

Coincidentally, this was the first area settled.

The theory is that wealth aggregates...if constant returns are capitalized on themselves, you get exponential growth.
In other words, WHEN you start matters. This holds true in the US; the DC-Boston corridor was the first settled by Western immigrants.

What can I do about a possession charge of three marijuana pipes in Arkansas?

I agree with the prosecutor, at 24 you should have a good grasp on right and wrong and the consequences attached to your actions.

dental hygienist?

We Answered:

I think the previous poster is confused with a dental assistant. They on average will make 12-16 per hour depending on the area. Hygenists on average will make around 28-34 per hour.

This truely depends on the area that you live in. Where I am at, they are in demand and heavily recruited once they hit their last year in the hygienists program. Full-time, part-time- you name it. If you read the articles that are posted on MSN and Yahoo you will see that they are always referencing the health services careers and in particular dental hygiene.

Since I am interested in this field, I did some checking into information. What I found out is that most schools that offer the programs are very competitive in nature. They limit the number of students that enroll to keep the quality of education high.

Where I live, we have 5 schools that offer the program in the state. Only one is close enough for me to attend. They will recieve over 150 applications for only 32 spaces. The fact that your school only accepts 25 is considered normal.

A full time hygienist in my area will work 4 days- full-time. When I inquired about the ability to find work I found out that most dentists will either contact the school directly, or look to hire by word of mouth. They work within a smaller and specialized circle and will only look to find hygienists through websites and newspapers as a last resort. One of the instructors for the program that I am applying to is a part owner in a dental placement service. If she likes your work she will forward your information onto the service.

If this is any help- out of the 5 people that I know who have graduated in the last 6 years, all have found employment and enjoy what they are doing. My brother sister in law has been working for over 5 years now and is making in the six figure range. The office she works in pays bonuses for consecutive months of service since turnover has been a problem- she also gets 6 weeks paid vacation, health insurance, free dental and a pension.

While her situation is probably on the higher end, the others all said that they cannot complain and would not change thier decision.

Good Luck.

Can anyone tell me about Phoenix and the surrounding areas?

We Answered:

I moved to Arizona over 8 years ago and love it. I have lived in Mesa, Queen Creek, and am currently in Gilbert. They are all suburbs of Phoenix. I would not suggest living in Queen Creek unless you don't mind driving a lot, you can find a home for pretty cheap but the schools aren't the best (unless you get into a charter school). Mesa is nice but only in certain areas, I have found that you shouldn't live north of the us60 unless you go about 6 miles. Downtown Mesa is kinda like little mexico now...lol, there are still a few nice parts downtown but then there are a ton of mexican stores. I haven't lived in Tempe but that is where ASU is so there are a ton of college kids. Gilbert and Chandler are both pretty nice but Chandler is a little more expensive. I really like living in Gilbert and the school system is awesome. The towns I have named are all in the east valley (of phoenix) I dont really know too much about the towns in the west valley. I do have a friend that lives in Peoria and she loves the school her kids go to. I did just hear on the news the other night that the west valley had more foreclosures than the east valley. There are two good websites for the valley that I know of, www.azcentral.com and also www.azfamily.com and you can search greatschools.net to check out local school ratings. Hope that helps

Do you agree with supporters that using fake or fraudulent documents is not a crime if used for a better life?

How should I go about planning my move to another state?

We Answered:

Put your desire to relocate into your cover letter. Ask them to contact you with an advance interview date so you can make travel arrangements.

Or do the same as I just stated only tell them what days you will be in town and would appreciate an interview during that time frame. You may have to call them directly. I know many CareerBuilder and Monster ads do not give a contact phone number. That's when you need to be creative and find it your self. If you need help doing this just contact me and I will assist you. People can email me from this site.
