Salvador Said:
how to get a job as a air hostess? We Answered:
I've looked into this myself a few years ago and then considered it again just recently. It's not easy. You apply with whatever airline you're considering, they usually prefer people with prior customer service experience...retail, restaurant, hospitality, etc. Then if you they decide to give you a shot you have to go to UNPAID training school for about 4-6 weeks(they pay your room and board while there, that's it.) Then you have to live close to one of their major hubs, so Chicago, NY, LA, usually a major city like that. However, just going to the training school doesn't get you a job, you still have to interview and all that and usually in the beginning if you get hired you're just an on-call flight attendant. All that said, with the recession our country is in now absolutely none of the airlines are hiring, like I said I just recently looked into it. sorry.
