Use all your contacts to get introduced to people in the industry. Include friends and family and anyone else you know. If they don't know someone can they think of anyone they know who may know somebody in the industry. Arrange to get an introduction to any people in the industry from the people you speak to. All they have to do is send an email saying they suggested you give the person a call. That way they will respond to your call because they are expecting it.

Go and meet the people for a coffee - ask for their advice and help and whether they know anyone else you can speak to. Whilst you are there get feedback on your CV (that way you get good feedback and you will be selling yourself).

This is the best way to get any positions these days as the competition for the type of thing you want to do is fierce. So by making and meeting contacts in the business you will be ahead of your competition

In my opinion, you should do some volunteerings until you got a paid job in order to get some working experiences as well as contacts with your future business partners.

Btw, what do you want to do? employee? self-employed? meantimes, you can improve the necessary skills in order to get your target dream job. At the same time, use internet for job hunting as well as use recruitment agency if you want to be an employee.

hey. i know how tough the industrey is and that it can be tough sometimes to get out there but here are some tips...
first of all get an agent , bc they can help you hit commercials and stuff and there are some great agents that are accepting ppl right now, so look into that....

also start doing a lot of auditions and u can also search the web for movie auditions out there so ya

those r just a few tips so hopefully that helps but don't give up =]]]]

Hello,

I understant your worries because an year ago I was in the same situation as you. Look what I've done: I wrote a direct marketing letter and I promote myself in that letter, writing about my skills, interests, experince etc. Then I made a list with all the companies and jobs I want to apply for.

I put the letter in an envelope (special direct marketing envelope with a direct mk. message on it "Here is what are you looking for") and then I sent all the letter to the companies from my list.
