William Said:

17 year old cannot afford citizenship;no resources;has lived here most of her life;desperate need for advice?

We Answered:

"As a high school senior with good grades and many aspirations, I have discovered that very few scholarships are offered to those without a citizenship. I am also refused loans and grants automatically due to my legal status (according to my counselor and colleges in my area whom I have contacted regarding this issue). "

NOT TRUE. As a permanent resident, you are eligible for federal and college financial aid. Only a few private scholarships may require applicants to be citizens and not just LPRs. I am dubious that so many counselors would misinform you about a commonly known fact.

"I have lived here most of my life and the risk of deportation in light of this seems frighteningly ridiculous, yet very real."

If you have a green card, then the only way you could possibly face deportation is if you were convicted of a crime of moral turpitude. As long as you don't use illegal drugs or rob 7-11s to get the money for your naturalization, you should be fine. If naturalization is really a problem of money, talk to your counselor. I am a school teacher, and in my district, we often provide assistance to students and families in need. If you were a student in our local high school, we'd gladly come up with the money to help you get citizenship.

Is it necessary for the TSA to feel up your mom?

We Answered:

The only way to send out a clear message to TSA is to boycott flying. Let them know you won't allow them to "legally sexually assault" you and tell em to go to hell.

Rent a car and drive! It's better for the economy anyhow.
