Tiffany Said:
What is the best time to call an employer during a job search? We Answered:
If you must do a cold call, call an hour or so after work has begun. Usually, it's not the first thing in the morning when everyone is catching up on e-mail and phone messages.Good luck!
Eva Said:
When you are applying for a job with a competitor of your present employer, is it necessary/appropriate to ?We Answered:
No it's not. Doing so, even if it's not with a competitor, can cause you to lose your job. They may see you as disloyal. They may seek to fill your position before you're ready to leave. It's best to keep quiet until you accept an offer. If you did not sign any agreement not to work for competitors, you do not have to tell them. If you did, you could be bound legally and be unable to accept a position with them for a specified amount of time after leaving or be sued.
