Find A Job

Ricardo Said:

How difficult to find job in Germany for foreigners?

We Answered:

If you are a non EU citizen you need to apply for a work visa which is a lot harder to get than a US Green card.

Additionally be aware non European degrees are NOT recognized in Germany you need to pass tests to get them recognized.

Also be aware to work in Germany requires you to speak German.
Same in other European countries you need to speak the local language otherwise no possibility to get any decent job.

The best way is to learn German apply for a student visa and get a German degree.
After graduating you have 6 moths to find a job and if you get one become a legal resident.

Be aware when you apply for a German student visa you need to provide proof of your language skills since a couple of years.

Unlike the US Germany does NOT have a sponsor system either it is you not a company who needs to apply for a work visa.
A job lined up is of course helpful.

To work in Germany as teacher will require you to have a German degree as teacher and for all public school ( more than 90% of schools ) to be a German citizen or long term resident since teachers are civil servants.
