Find The Job

Stephanie Said:

When you first graduate from flight school, is it hard to find a job as a pilot?

We Answered:

Because you need experience. don't give up. Fly as much as you can and get as many hours as you can. Think long term. Also - commercial and instrument ratings are a plus. Being a good commercial pilot takes time and patience.

Tamara Said:

How do you find a decent paying job when employers want you to have perfect credit?

We Answered:

You can probably land a job with a smaller company they are less likely to check credit. Smaller landlords too are less likely to check credit. If they do you probably won't be offered the jobs. Bad credit is very hard as you have seen but if you can explain what happened to you and that before the bankruptcy you had done everything right and stayed out to debt but had a sudden major medical problem that cause the debt you could be ok. If you simply didn't live below your means so ran up consummer debt until you couldn't pay it the first time you were unemployed you probably shouldn't be in accounting.

Rachel Said:

How do I find a job when I'm changing industries? I was in sales, but want to do market analysis. Help!?

We Answered:

Sorry, but I find it very hard to believe that you resigned from a pharmaceutical sales job without another job lined up. These jobs are very hard to get and are sought after by many. One does not just give it up and resign for no extreme reason.

If you were successful as a pharma sales rep, and left the company on your own volition, not fired by management, it will be difficult at first to overcome the hurdle of employers wanting to know why you left without another job lined up. I suggest you put together a stellar resume, practice interviewing, hold your head up and pursue whatever it is that you want. It will only be a matter of time until you find your next home. Good luck!
