Finding A Job
Bobby Said:
How to I go about finding a job building dioramas or models for museums or private needs? We Answered:
A BFA in graphic or commercial design on your resume would help a lot: museums still look for certification, not to mention a portfolio of your work, which you should be building right now. This usually consists of digital photos of your work, put up on your own website or as a Powerpoint presentation that you have stored on a disc or flash drive, to be left with your prospective employer, usually the art director or curator of exhibits.Museum websites often have a "working for us" link, though it is generally hard to get jobs at museums. Most are dependent on public funding, which has dried up recently with the current recession. Your best bet might be to get an internship with a museum you're interested in. You might not get paid, but internships are a great way to get your foot in the door. This is, by the way, where education comes in: most museum internships are available primarily to students from local art departments.
You don't mention in what field you'd like to work. Science and natural history museums use dioramas and educational models quite a bit. There are also scores of small community museums that are looking for help in this field. Don't turn your nose up at volunteer work for these places, because these look really good on your resume when you start applying for professional work.
I have worked as a museum intern and have friends who are in the business. It's a good field for people who are creative but disciplined and able to work with limited resources.

Have you been succesful in finding a job while on the go? Using your smartphone or tablet? We Answered:
No, I haven't.Any sort of job that can be done over the Internet is already being done by Indians, Filipinos, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, etc. for about $2 an hour. I can't compete with that. You can't live on $2 an hour in a developed country.

Not having much work experience and having problem in finding job?We Answered:
First , It is great to see you have accomplished the great task of graduating from college. Second, Do not give up. keep plugging into the different business opportunities. You may get a lot of "No's", but you only need one "Yes." If you give up because of the last no, you will not get to the one yes that you need. Just keep believing in yourself. Some one will hire you at a good wage or salary.
