James Oglethorpe was the founder of the Georgia colony. He led 120 colonists on the ship Ann on Nov 17, 1732. They landed at Yamacraw Bluff on the Savannah River on Feb 12th, 1733 on what became the city of Savannah. Over the next 20 years, more than 5,000 Europeans settled in Georgia. Prior to this a group of wealthy Englishmen, led by Oglethorpe and John Percival requested a charter from King George II to form a colony in the New World. So although the King granted permission to start a colony, it was actually founded by James Oglethorpe. Just like it was William Penn who founded the colony of Pennsylvania with a charter from an earlier English king. I hope that this has been a help to you.

Tracy Neuen..., Let me start out by saying I'm not too knowledable when it comes to auto repair. Last year I had an accident with my Honda Pilot and I wasn't sure how to fix them. I tried to search the web for tips, but the procedures were way too complex for my skills. I ended up going to the dealship for my repairs. The dealership tends to charge more than mom and pop repair shops, but they've seen all sorts of situations (car insurance problems, repair warranty issues, etc) and they seem to always find a way to help me.
