High School Graduate Job Search !! Help ...?We Answered:
Maybe you can go to Craig's List here for the jobs:http://newyork.craigslist.org/jjj/ if you live in New York.
Choose a tab on the top (manhattan, brooklyn, queens, etc. till fairfield) Underneath the search bar, there are 'part-time' 'full-time' boxes. When you click on a job, sometimes they will tell you more information (hourly pay, etc.<--this info is on the bottom, but maybe some people will mention in the body paragraphs). Idk about the other things that you are talking about.
If you happen to find a job you like there, just keep in mind that posts expire one week after they get published, b/c if you forget, you might lose the company's or whoever's information.
Okay, bye !~

I am a recent college graduate in search of a job. Any ideas? We Answered:
First of all, congratulations on graduating! That's an accomplishment and now starts the real deal...utilizing your experiences and putting them to the test. What you need to do is go to your local library and check out books related to resume-building and writing. Or you can buy one, which ever is affordable. The reason is, that there are some great tips to make your resume and the experiences you recieved in college to really stand out from other applicants. Invest in 2-3 suits, pant suits and skirt suits. And dark pumps. You want to get as many interviews as possible, as well as job offers. Utilize resources. Scan career boards-Careerbuilder, Monster.com, Yahoojobs, your local newspaper and submit resumes and cover letters.
Look and research on your job market in your city...and other cities...are you open for relocation? Your job offers will be increased if relocation is an option. I wish you the best in your career search. Stay optimistic and positive!

Can a felony strike from age 14 effect me in a job search after i graduate from college? We Answered:
What state are you writing from? The laws regarding the protection of felony records for underage criminals is very procedural and probably varies significantly from state to state. Also, I have never heard the term "strike" used in any way other than the so-called "three strikes" policy. I don't mean to nitpick, but you need to be very specific in terms of your felony record.
Were you actually convicted of a crime that was a felony? Until you are actually convicted, you have no record (this is the procedural manifestation of "innocent until proven guilty).
Regarding the age of criminals, it's not simply a matter of whether the record is sealed or not. rather, some convictions are actually not convictions at all. eg In NYS, if you plead guilty or are found guilty of acts which would be a crime, you are then considered a criminal convict. In contrast, Somebody in the same situation but underage is not considered a person with a conviction, but an "adjudication" of guilt for acts which would be a crime if committed by an adult. Thus, it's possible you have no criminal conviction at all, and you need to be specific about that.
