I have used parallel computing only very little, but I think that hots means computer that should run the job. You can try to set it to one of these:local
localhost
127.0.0.1
But I dont think that you need to use that, try this command:
matlabpool local
This should make using multiple cores easy
Now you could try using parfor command (replace for with parfor).
Heres easy to understand tutorial how to use parfor:
