Illinois Job Search

Clinton Said:

I just graduated from college and I don't have a job lined up!!?

We Answered:

Mmm... Central Illinois with business degree.

Skip the Monster's and head directly to the source. You need to have ADM, Caterpillar, State Farm, John Deere, Jimmy Johns (Corporate in Champaign... I'm not suggesting the local sandwich shop), Country Insurance, and the State of Illinois Government on your radar. Go to their individual careers websites, and hunt around.

Virginia Said:

Anyone know a website where I can search for city jobs?

We Answered:

Try Citysearch.com

Tony Said:

Why can't sex offenders in illinois use the internet to seek out employment for state approved jobs?

We Answered:

There's no way that this law isn't going to be repealed. Google, Yahoo, Amazon.com, Slashdot.org, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, TV.com, MP3.com, and CNET.com. all fall into categories sex offenders won't be able to use and it will be a First Amendment challenge. Sex offenders are the slime of the earth but this law is too restrictive. If parental controls can be put on TV and computers there has to be a way of letting them using the computer with reasonable limitations.

Lois Said:

i am desperately looking for a home based job doing data entry. any legitimate companies?

We Answered:

Not for legitimate "work from home and get paid like an employee" jobs. They dont exist.

However you can if you choose, invest some money and start your own home based business. You will need to pay for a business license, pay taxes and pay for advertising.

Or you can apply to the finance companies & banks. They sometimes have data entry shifts doing the overnight shift - entering all the transactions (keyboarding) done during the previous 24 hours.

Duane Said:

Job search and convection/arrest record..how am I effected?

We Answered:

Was you convicted of retail theft and took a plea bargain? A plea bargain usually means that you were convicted of some crime. I was also convicted of retail theft in 2001 and it was a misdemeanor conviction so I didn't think that it would affect me as far as employment went....WRONG! I was just let go from a position due to the fact that they ran a criminal background check and that came up. It may be different in each state and which job?
