Is it a major advantage to search for a job nationally as opposed to in one city?We Answered:
Yes - but only if you're willing to relocate. There are jobs everywhere, because major industries exist everywhere in food chains, hardware stores and more. BUT - there are some areas that specialize in Technology (California, Atlanta, NYC, Washington DC). There are some places that specialize in Movie Making (Hollywood, NYC). The question is are you willing to move?
The next question is are you willing to take the salary that they are willing to give? You can find a job in a place that they are not willing to pay more than half of what you deserve to earn. They figure, if you will take the job, they will accept your humbleness to take the job at half the pay.
Another thing is that with unemployment at record highs, employers are looking to help their communities more - so hire locally. There are no laws against 'location discrimination' but it's out there.... if you don't live in the city, you may be penalized cause they just don't want to pay for moving expenses and more. Also, what if you move and hate the area? They have invested in you for 3 months and you just leave.... tough.
So - look on the http://Hired911.com website and look for your job - your best opportunities anywhere in the USA (cause http://Hired911.com specializes in USA jobs only). Then, try to find a recruiter at the place you want to work. That's going to be your ticket in.

Can job search is possible after having tourist visa?We Answered:
No company would try to take risk with the law of the land. Why would someone disobey the immigration rules and give your GF a job on visit visa? Also, it is better that if you are in India then why don't you find a employer who can give her a offer letter and let her apply for job visa to visit INDIA? If she is caught on tourist visa working, then she wuld b deported and that wuld be worst scenario to face....Juanita Said:
What can you do to help simplify the job search process? We Answered:
Hi,C) It is smart to commence your job-search from a point of knowing 'what it is you want to do'.
A) By all means read the classified advertisements and circle those that interest you.
B) Web sites in my opinion are not the most productive way to go.
If you want a job in a hurry, then I suggest that you target those companies / organizations that you would like to work for and write speculative job applications to a named individual in each company.. Why? Because you will have no competitors unless someone a smart as you decides to do the same. You call each company four to five days after making an application asking for an interview appointment.
The alternative to 'speculative job applications' is to visit with companies and ask to speak with the person who does the hiring. The advantage for the last two methods is that you will know immediately if your services are required. If not, then you move on to your next call.
A great source of Job Search information is Creative Job Search - Minnesota; just enter those four words into a search box on the Internet and click on 'search'.
Best wishes for your assignment and /or Job search.
Wit web sites, you have to wait around for a reply, the more sites you visit, the greater the work-load for you trying to stay on top of each application.

Yahoo use to have a tool to search about job details, descriptions, and salaries. Is that still available? We Answered:
I don't know if Yahoo still offers this tool, but you can find similar info on PayScale.com. You can search for salary data based on job title, years of experience, location, employer type, industry and other factors. They have data for the U.S. and other countries, and their free salary survey lets you compare your salary to what others are earning. http://www.payscale.com/?src=yahooAHope that helps
