Kurt Said:
I have an interview for a job tomorrow. Can I get some tips?We Answered:
Dress nice, you don't need a suit, but no concert t-shirts.Look her in the eye and answer her questions honestly.
Sit up straight and don't fidget. Act like you are interested and want the job.
Bring out any points about your past that relate to the job. You took keyboarding last year, spend a lot of time on your PC.
Let her know up front if you have any conflicts with the job. Band, Sports or anything that would take you away from the time she expects you to be there.
Most important, be polite. If you can't bring yourself to say Yes Mam, at least say yes and no, not yeah and nope. If you know her, ask about her family. If your family knows her, say they send their regards (or just say your mom says hi)
Good luck.

HR people...do you take international applicants seriously, or do you just toss their cv/resume?We Answered:
Most likely they will. Job search has become more global and many times employers/recruiters have to go and look elsewhere outside of their own country. I used to be a hiring manager for a European telecom company in US and we searched many countries. Many US companies look for talent outside of their own country and some even sponsor VISAs. Bear in mind that US grants only so many work related visas per year.Within EU obviously it is easier to go from one country to another.

I am looking for a Search and Rescue type job or a Ranger job in the wilderness? We Answered:
Yes, many counties have their own search and rescue units. States do too. In general look in conservation, fire and police jobs for this work. It is not entry level work though, you need to work for a while to qualify usually.Christine Said:
What is the best job board for international NGO job postings? We Answered:
Try www.idealist.org, they have some good listings.
