I want to move to Atlanta...What do you think? We Answered:
I live in Ohio right now. Born and raised here. I have also lived in Atlanta and I plan on moving back after graduation. I will tell you this, you need to have a job down there first and already have a place to live set up. As far as the HUC thing, it is in Health care however, it isnt a degree, its a certification. To have a position in healthcare and to make a good living in Atlanta, I suggest getting a degree in Health Information Technology or Medical Billing & Coding, those are just examples. Or in computers, nursing etc. In Health Information Technology, you can transfer medical records to computers etc. That is what Atlanta needs. They need Nurses and Computer I.T people.
My grandmother has lived in Atlanta for over 40 years plus with my own experience from living down there. I say get a degree in something else then move if you really want to. You need a job down there BEFORE you go, the unemployment rate there is worse than what it is in Ohio I believe. Its just that the education people have isnt what they are looking for right now.
Atlanta is a nice place depending on what you are looking for. They have a lot of clubs and shopping, it is pretty as well. Now, there are some ghetto places and places you need to stay away from, like any other major city.
Im moving back to Atlanta because I am in school for Nursing and up here in Ohio, I wouldnt get paid as much as I would in Atlanta. Also, I love the weather, they dont have as much snow as we get in Ohio.
Good Luck and if you have any questions, hit me up ( on answers, dont email me cuz I dont get the e-mails)

Boarding in the Atlanta, GA area??We Answered:
Sorry, I lived & boarded for a couple years in the northeastern atlanta suburb region - and it was tremendously expensive for my taste. Average board was $500 with only 1/2 day turn out 1/2 the week.Dan Said:
Could Someone Help Me Find A Job?We Answered:
Make appointments to see recruiters. There are jobs out there that want people with college degrees. If you have clerical experience you can also find a temp job through Accountemps that could lead to a permanent position. Using a headhunter / recruiter will help put ur name in the ears of the hiring manager or hr recuirter directly.Always followup on applicaiton b/c just by calling, having them find your resume and hearing your name will get your app out of that huge stack of applications. Good Luck!!!

Are you hiring in the Atlanta, GA area?We Answered:
i am in the same boat I have been out of a job since march of 2006 and have not found anything yet. I have 5 yrs customer service and have a b.s. in business. I have had to put into burger king just so i can find something to pay the bills but still nothing the market is really bad here. one company i called to check on my status said that they had over 300 applications/resumes for that one position. i decided that i was stressing way to much especially with a new baby so my husband and i decided i would stay home and just babysit a few kids and save daycare cost. my friend told me she got her job through a temp agency i would try that. good luck
