Job Search Bc

Rick Said:

Do you get discouraged from online job searching?

We Answered:

Job searching in-person and online is annoying and discouraging. It's because of the employers. It took 2 years for someone to hire me, and I was job applying everywhere. Just keep applying everwhere you can think off.

Clifford Said:

Job hunting fiasco some advice please.?

We Answered:

You are kind of stuck, since you don't have transportation and there are no jobs locally. Check with your college to see if they have a placement center that can give you some referrals. Also, check with some of your college friends who live in bigger cities. Can you mooch a place to sleep for a week or two while you intensively job hunt in that city? A good place to look is with temporary agencies. Latest indicators are they are starting to look for people again (a good sign for the economy, since businesses tend to hire temps first, before taking on new employees) and can often lead to permanent employment. During that week or two get as much face-to-face exposure as you can. A face to attach to a resume is much more compelling than an e-mail attachment. When the time is up in that city, have arranged another one to go to.
It will be hard, especially in an economic downturn. By the way, are you re-contacting the people you have sent resumes to? Sometimes persistence can lead to rewards.
Good luck!

im looking for a job....?

We Answered:

I think that it is very noble that you are considering joining the armed forces.

I live not to far from you (Madison area). I work at home on line and enjoy the freedom to work when I want. I have been working from home for 2 years now. It took me a long time to find the best places to look for the type of work that I like to do and that I am good at.

I have experience in sales, customer service, administration, marketing, etc.

Whether you are looking for a part time job to supplement your income temporarily or are looking for something full time, if you like working on the computer you might want to consider an on line, telecommute job until the election.

Procrastination may be a problem, no one there to tell you to get busy, but if you are considering the armed forces, following orders (depending on your field of interest, on line it would be tasks assigned to you via phone or email) is something you'll have to do!

If you consider an on line job, make sure to avoid the many scams that are out there. NEVER PAY MONEY when your goal is to earn money.

I've found that one of the best resources for legitimate on line jobs is:

I wish you luck

Gary Said:

How do I find out a specific health insurance for companies I want to apply to for a job?

We Answered:

You don't find out until after you have the job offer.

It's private information.

You can't get a report of companies that have XYZ carrier, and even if you could, they could be one of several different plans.

Sorry. You'll have to get the job offer first, THEN ask about the insurance coverage.

Does he not know where he was born? This would be the obvious city to start your search.
